How to post pictures in dpreview

A lot of dpreview forum members ask about how to post pictures in dpreview forums and there is a missing sticky post feature in dpreview making it very inconvenient to new members. For the patient ones, try searching with dpreview search and google with this trick on domain search
And here comes to my part of showing the 'howto' with images uploaded in Flickr account. It should apply to other popular photo sites such as pbase, photobucket, smugsmug and others.

Once a photo is uploaded, the photo site may offer you various sizes of images that you can directly link back to your photos. In a web browser such as FireFox, you can click on the desired image and right click to get the menu that you can copy the image link. In IE, it seems a bit harder to do, you can do right click and then select 'properties' and copy the image link property in the URL Address.

In Firefox
  • Right click on image from photo site
  • Select 'copy image location' in menu
  • Paste image location to dpreview post and preview image. For Flickr users, make sure that all images ends in .jpg file. Preview in posting will reveal problems if the image link is incorrect
In IE
  • Right click on image from photo site
  • Select 'properties' in the menu
  • Copy Address URL from the image property
  • Paste URL to dpreview post and preview image. For Flickr users, make sure that all images ends in .jpg file. Preview in posting will reveal problems if the image link is incorrect

Hey, I am so sorry I didnt visit you before... I am going crazy with my job... I do so many things at once and then I am overloaded! LOL
Anyway I just read you last 5 posts... Nice kids... the story about the 100 dollars is cute.
By the way I got so frustrated with Wordpress that I moved my blog on weird things to the good old Blogger.
